Il Tempo Ritrovato

I have left a review but I believe it disappeared into cyberspace so I will start again. This is the second time my husband and I have been to the beautiful and unique city of Alberobello and the second time we have visited and shopped in Il Tempo Ritrovato. Francesca, is the warmest and most lovely woman who owns the shop. She is enthusiastic and most knowledgeable about her items and her city and region. She has an abundance of delightful, and beautiful examples of the craftsmanship that visitors come to appreciate of the region of Puglia: lamps of local stone or ceramic,gorgeous pumi of every size and color in ceramic and other adornments for walls and linens embellished with embroidery that represent Alberobello, and little crocheted booties and and hats for babies that are adorable and handmade by Francesca herself. This time my husband selected a carved stone lamp and I just had to have one of the precious crocheted hats for my friend’s baby. Francesca is very particular about wrapping breakables very carefully. I want her to know that her expertise in preparing our lamp kept it safe throughout our trip. She is delightful and so is her sister, Milena, who we met the first time shopping in Il Temp Ritrovato. Thank you, Francesca. We look forward to seeing you, again!

Lovely shop with beautiful items. The owner specifically asked if I'd be flying and took extra care to wrap my items well for the journey home - that extra ask was greatly appreciated! She's the only shopkeeper who asked me that when I brought fragile items.

Francesca was kind, courteous and professional. She was never pushy, she went above and beyond to accommodate us and answer our questions. Truly a positive experience.

Io e mia moglie Rosanna, abbiamo acquistato una meravigliosa lampada chiamata "riccio". Una volta poi collocata in casa, l'effetto e l'impatto è stato meraviglioso !
